Danny Boyle's 127 HOURS - in theaters November 5 - is based on the true story of Aron Ralston (played by James Franco), a climber and adventurer whose survival hinged on a single defining moment that saved his life.
Just launched, 127DefiningMoments.com seeks inspirational people to share their own life-changing or death-defying experiences in the great outdoors. Together with Aron Ralston's own story, the top 126 moments submitted will be selected by Outside Magazine to create "127 Defining Moments." Top entrants will be chosen on November 12, with prizing from Eddie Bauer First Ascent, Sierra Designs, Larabar, and Camelback.
