Definitely worth a though, just look at what they have on offer funding wise

With less than four weeks left TROPFEST and Junior deadlines for submissions are fast approaching, so if you want to get your entries in to the worlds largest short film festival than you had better get out of that Xmas party mode and get back into filmmaking mode ASAP. This festival is a favourite time of year come rain or shine. And it's been pretty wet over the years!

Here are some quick details from TROPFEST.

<i>It’s interesting to read interviews with up and coming or semi established Indian Actors and actresses especially those that have moved from the more conservative studios based in the regions around Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) and the east to the ‘wicked’ world of Mumbai (Bombay) in the west. Here is a short interview with the eastern star Rituparna Sengupta who is attempting to hit the big time in the west while keeping one foot planted safely on the other side of the national conscience, just in case. The conflict between morality tales and pseudo–hedonistic epics that has developed within the Indian film industry is not as cut and dried as most would believe. The struggle continues even as Hollywood Studio’s circle what is the fastest growing cinematic brand today.

ROOFTOP FILMS ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS

December 8th 2008 04:45
Here's a festival that I have been following for a while and strongly suggest anyone thinking of submitting should get off their proverbial and send stuff in. The festival runs in the warmer months in New York and always seems to get good crowds so you know you will be getting your stuff seen.

Read ahead and ATB with your film!
