I attended an advanced screening of Summer Hours with a Q&A with Juliette Binoche last Monday evening and was extrememly pleased to notice how candid and selfless she was on the evening. Refusing to alllow David Stratton to end the question time she continued to take audience questions for another 15 to 20 minutes before being whisked away by her minders. A full article on the evening will be posted shortly. SUMMER HOURS will be screening at the French Film Festival ealy next month and I recommend you pop along to see it. Assayas direction is as usual excellent and the performances of the entire ensemble is fantastic. While your at it you might as well check out the rest of the programme.

The official website for the 2009 ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL is now live!

"We have re-thought the way in which the industry and projects are supported by Screen Australia. We have also substantially increased funding for development
