ACEFEST have officially begun accepting submissions for the 2009 film festival. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever and this is your chance to be a part of it! Screening work at ACEFEST, located in the heart of Manhattan, has proven to be an undeniable springboard to success for countless films thus far.
The judging panel this year will knock your socks off, featuring the likes of Lloyd Kaufman, Chris Gore, Elle Martini and more!

International Submissions: Going Global for the Greater Good
Whether it be a nation taking a stand against century-old social barriers in an historic election or the world coming together to make this earth a greener place to live, now is the time for cohesion, collaboration and unity. ACEFEST is very proud to be opening its submissions internationally this year. Selected films from this category will play at ACEFEST 2009 in the "Global Showcase" segment of the event. In such uncertain times, we're all in this together and we welcome our friends across the globe to be a part of this year's American Cinematic Experience!
ACEFEST 2008 Event Recap
In the heart of New York City (just steps from Times Square), patrons and filmmakers came together from all corners of the globe for 4 full days of independent cinema September 4-7, 2008. The 500-seat theater at the award-winning New World Stages was the ultimate setting for any film exhibition and a dream come true for our selected filmmakers.

Prizes / Awards
Awards and prize packages will be given to seven (7) winners for the honors of Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Animation, Best Documentary, Best Video Art and Audience Choice, chosen by the ACEFEST panel of judges from selected entries. Prizes and cash awards to be announced.
All accepted entrants receive two (2) ACEFEST All-Access Passes and VIP gift bag.
Selection Notification
All entrants will be notified of their fate by May 29, 2009.

Preferred Formats: DVD or Mini-DV

Above fees apply to entries postmarked by listed dates
Feel free to include press, marketing and cast materials
Students are to submit under listed categories (Sorry, no discounts)
Accepted entrants will have the opportunity to upload trailers, info, etc.
Feature Film: 40 mins or longer (including credits)
Short Film: 39 mins or shorter (including credits)
Animation: Any length cartoons, stop motion, 3D, etc.
Video Art / Music Video: Experimental video piece or music video
They accept all genres of film and video including, but not limited to narrative, experimental, documentary, fantasy, noir, musical, western, sports, television, sci-fi, animation, horror, action, adventure, comedy, drama, mystery, thriller, biography, PSA, news, viral, crime, parody, children's, video art, etc.

All films and videos submitted this season, regardless of selection status, will be available for review in the ACEFEST Industry Film Market. Distributors, press and other accredited professionals will have the entire library at their fingertips - giving our entrants the ultimate exposure potential.
Terms & Conditions
By submitting your work, you authorize American Cinematic Experience LLC to screen your film or video at ACEFEST 2009 and related events. Moving and still images captured from your work may be used for promotional and fundraising purposes at the discretion of American Cinematic Experience LLC. This may include and is not limited to display on our website, downloadable media, artwork and related text.
