ACEFEST has earned quite a reputation for its after-parties and post-screening events. This year will be no exception as we open them up to the general public for the first time!
Friday, July 10. Luxe Lounge. 10pm - 2am.
Entry is free if you purchase any screening ticket to ACEFEST 2009 or just $10 to RSVP. Come mingle, drink and bowl with your peers in one of Manhattan's most exclusive lounges - Luxe!
Nestled inside the already hip and chic Lucky Strike Lanes, the Luxe lounge is a private 3,000 square foot mini-club, perfect for networking your way to the top!
Entry proceeds go to benefit future programming of ACEFEST's preservation of American independent cinema in New York City!

ACEFEST JUDGES 09.
Lloyd Kaufman, Filmmaker
Well-known American film director, producer and screenwriter (Toxic Avenger). He is the co-founder of Troma Entertainment, the world's longest-running independent film studio. Kaufman also serves as chairman of the Independent Film and Television Alliance.
Chris Gore, Writer / Filmmaker
A speaker and writer on the topic of independent film, Chris is the founder of FilmThreat.com, a project dedicated to covering independent cinema. He appears weekly on the G4 TV's Attack of the Show, in which he reviews the newest DVD movies released that day.
Elle Martini, Filmmaker
Elle is an Emmy-nominated writer/director based in Portland, Oregon. Her most recent film, Person, Place or Thing, won Best Short Film at ACEFEST 2008 and continues to pick up various awards around the world for both its production and performances.
Gabriele Barrera, Film Critic / Journalist
An Italian native, Gabriele is an international film critic whose words resonate throughout the film industry long after he publishes them. He just released a new book entitled Movie Stars, and continues to actively write and lecture at some of the best universities in the world.
Zenon Kruszelnicki, Acting Coach / Theatre Director
Zenon received his MFA in Acting from National Academy of Drama in Poland and MFA in Directing from The New School. He is a member of SSDC, The Actors Studio, FIA, ZASP and SAG. In 2004 he professionally coached Willem Dafoe, among others.
Tom O'Malley, Filmmaker
With a BFA in Transmedia Studies from Syracuse University, Tom is currently focusing on the business-side of the film industry as Executive Director of ACEFEST. He brings experience beyond his years and a well-rounded creative knowledge to the table.
Donald Lavis, Technical Specialist
Donald brings an interesting perspective to this year's judging panel. His involvement with the SUNY Fredonia Media Arts program, as well as many major productions in New York City, has earned him a well-known reputation in the world of audio/visual technology.
Russell Hess, Distributor
Having spent a large portion of his career on the production side of film, Russell is now a powerful force in the distribution industry. He has seen-through the release of many indies on DVD, broadband, Pay-Per-View, and cable in the past few years.
