Are you a talented designer or animator keen to extend
yourself through intensive production-based experience?
Come andexperience a ‘talk and tour’ at AFTRS’ new state of the art campus within the Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the current Digital Media courses on offer and to hear from special guest speaker Grant Freckelton from Animal Logic.

Grant Freckelton:
Grant is a visual effects art director who hasworked on Moulin Rouge, Matrix: Reloaded, Harry Potter and the Goblet ofFire and was responsible for designing the extraordinary visual style of300. Grant has worked at Animal Logic for nine years as an illustrator,
matte painter and art director. Animal Logic was established in 1991 and is an internationally acclaimed DVFX production house. Its credits include: Babe, Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, The Quiet American, The Thin Red Line, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Moulin
Rouge, Matrix and Matrix: Reloaded, World Trade Center, and the Oscar-winning Happy Feet.
Grant will talk about The Art of 300 providing an insight into his creative process in developing the visual style of feature film 300.
AFTRS will be offering two specialist part-time Graduate Certificate courses in Semester 2. Taught by experienced lecturers and industry professionals, these courses are aimed at talented designers and animators who are keen to keep their skills relevant in a rapidly changing media landscape.
Course lecturers will be available on the night to answer questions and guests will be shown some of the cutting edge work created in Digital Media programs at AFTRS in the areas of Motion Graphics Design, 3D Animation, Visual Effects and Convergent Media. There will also be a tour of the School’s impressive new teaching facilities.
Applications close on June 6 for the 3D Animation and Screen Design: Motion Graphics and
Interactive courses with both courses commencing in Sydney on July 21.
