The 9th annual ashland independent film festival is set for April 8-12 and the schedule and film descriptions are available now. See the full festival lineup, with links to film trailers, at www.ashlandfilm.org.
The non-profit ashland independent film festival is five days of the highest quality independent film in this historic town the Washington Post called "a dream you'll never want to leave."
Filmmakers of the documentaries, features and shorts come from around the world to engage with the audience after each screening and at the festival’s Opening Night Bash and Award Celebration parties with local wine, beer and gourmet food. Special guests have included Helen Hunt, Albert Maysles, Bruce Campbell and more.

Free copies of the 80 page program will be available when the festival's pre-sale box office opens on the plaza in Ashland, Tuesday, March 16. Festival Guide brochures are available now at the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, the Ashland Library, the Varsity Theatre and soon at many regional businesses in Southern Oregon.
Festival films include 6 Academy Award nominations and one Oscar winner. Featured films made in Oregon include the first work-in-progress screening of the classic novel The River Why, co-starring Academy Award winner William Hurt; and Calvin Marshall, shot on location in Southern Oregon co-starring Steve Zahn (Rescue Dawn, Reality Bites).
