Every Little Step A "Thrilling Combination of Documentary and Musical Dazzler"
Two special showings of the critically acclaimed documentary Every Little Step will continue the festival's Monthly Film Series Friday, June 12th at the Varsity Theatre at 6:00p and 8:20p. These screenings will benefit the non-profit ashland independent film festival and are made possible by Coming Attractions Theatres.
The original production of A Chorus Line was seen by more than six million people and, as the longest running American musical in Broadway history, won the Pulitzer Prize for drama as well as nine Tony Awards. Out of the thousands who audition, only 19 are chosen to open the revival. Their lives are interwoven with hopes and dreams hanging in the balance. Every Little Step is their story. The New York Times A.O. Scott said Every Little Step "pays tribute to the durability and continued relevance of A Chorus Line." Rolling Stone calls it is "a thrilling combination of documentary and musical dazzler."
Tickets for these two special screenings of Every Little Step are discounted 25% for AIFF members and available at the Varsity Theatre Box Office. These showings continue a monthly series of Southern Oregon premieres and encores of film festival favorites showing on selected Fridays through November at the Varsity.
