There are TWO new promising opportunities to get your films shown - Salon des Refusés is a new celebration of filmmakers frustrated by rejection from festivals and they want your short films! And The Athena Film Festival is looking for films about women from all over the world.

February 10th - 13th, 2011 / Barnard College, New York
Our fellow celebrator of women filmmakers from Women & Hollywood, Melissa Silverstein will be launching a festival in February. The Festival will highlight the wide diversity of women’s leadership across the globe, what it takes to excel, collaborate, lead, and inspire. If you have a film about women in power to submit, Please email athenafilmfest@womenandhollywood.com by September 1st. Keep your eyes peeled for BEV’s involvement in the festival…
'Salon des Refusés' - CALL FOR ENTRIES

Have you ever had your short film rejected from a festival? If so, Salon des Refusés is a new opportunity for filmmakers. To submit your short (under 1 hour) film, which must have been rejected from at least 1 festival, please email Chloë & Kirsty at thesalondesrefuses@gmail.com for a submission form.
