Britt Festival Celebrating the Music of Film.
August 5th 2008 07:37
How often do you walk out of the movies and cant wait to buy that amazing soundtrack that accompanied the action on screen? Well this weekend at the Britt Festival you can relive some of the great moments in cinema history with the Britt Orchestra as they perform so of the finest pieces in cinema history.
On August 8 and 9 the Britt Festival Orchestra presents "The Golden Age of the Silver Screen," a tribute to some of the greatest composers of movie soundtracks. When films were America's premiere source of entertainment their scores became a permanent part of America's musical landscape. The shower scene from Psycho, the swirling dissonance in the score for Vertigo and more.
These two concerts will feature the music of the composers of some of Hollywood's best film music at Britt Festival in Jacksonville. And if you cant make both nights, don’t worry as the tickets are available as a package or individually. And don’t forget there are a lot more entertaining evenings to attend as well during the month long festival.
