After a great couple of years after our newly devised format BooHoo is back again for 2010! We are aiming for competition to kick off at the end of March so we want your film. Be in the running to win fantastic cash and prizes and have a damn good time! Audience voting determines finalists, with the final judged by an independent industry panel. The awards showcase the best new Australian short films starring seniors, selected from a national call for submissions. To be eligible, films must be Australian made, completed no earlier than Jan 1st 2008, feature one or more actors over 60 years of age in a key role and be no more than 20 mins in length. The finalists will be screened on the opening night of Young at Heart, Sydney’s 5th Seniors Film Festival, Thursday March 25 at Dendy Opera Quays in Sydney.

Through the Scheme, Screen NSW provides subsidies to leading companies to employee digital artists for six month traineeships. There is one application deadline per year, with up to five trainees placed annually. DUNGOG FILM FESTIVAL
The Dungog Film Festival is one the most vibrant and unique film festivals in the country. Set in the tiny Hunter Valley town of Dungog, the four-day annual event is now the biggest festival of Australian film content in the world, with a program that includes special events, treasures from the past, seminars, master classes and live script performances. The festival runs from 27th to 30th May 2010.

AWGIE AWARDS
The AWGIE Awards are the Australian Writers Guild’s annual awards for excellence in film, television, stage, radio and new media writing. The AWGIEs are the only peer assessed awards for performance writers with judging based on the written script, the writer's intention, rather than the finished production. Entries for Monte Miller categories close at 5pm on Friday 5th March 2010. All other categories close at 5pm Friday 19th March 2010.
