Particularly we are looking for someone who can help out with a bit of research, contacting third parties [crew, location contacts etc], and general assisting. We are looking for someone who is really keen to learn but there is greater urgency on helping during pre-production. We are doing this for love not money therefore this role would be unpaid.

The Wakakirri Outback program gives young Indigenous and non-Indigenous students living in remote communities the opportunity to take part in a national arts festival. Facilitators run four days of filmmaking workshops with students to produce a short film. The film is screened on the fifth day at a festival day. The festival takes place in New South Wales [Broken Hill & Wilcannia] from 31st May to 4th June. Positions available are: Director/Editor, who will be responsible for overseeing the production of the film and Camera operator/Editor who will be responsible for all technical aspects involved in the making of the film
