Fantastic Planet is a Sydney based genre festival, dedicated to the promotion and exhibition of science fiction and fantasy cinema from around the globe. Founded by the team behind Australia's leading horror film event- A Night of Horror International Film Festival - Fantastic Planet will run for 5 days and nights in October 2009.

World of Women (WOW): Call for entries
The 16th WOW (World of Women) Film Festival will screen from 14-18 October 2009 in Sydney and is now calling for entries for Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Music Videos, Vodules and Student films of less than 55 minutes duration with key creative input by women from Australia and around the world.
WOW is a unique showcase of films by women, allowing for a different storytelling and giving another perspective of the world through women's eyes.
