Now in its 5th year, the 2008 MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK Awards is the only red
carpet affair in Australia to celebrate both International and
Australian theatrical releases, toasting the best and worst of film and
entertainment in the year that was. The Awards are 'people's choice'
which means that the general public interact by voting (20,000 votes in
2006/7) for the hand picked categories such as Best Sort, Best Nude
Scene, and Best Australian Film. The MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK Awards bring a
perfect balance of movie-love and irreverence to the film industry and
general public who love the glamour without the air kisses.
On March 12th 2008 the poll results will be announced in a glittering
red carpet ceremony held at the beautiful State Theatre in Sydney, and
televised nationally on MOVIE EXTRA on March 15th. The celebrations will
continue into the evening as the stylish The Argyle at the Rocks plays
host to all our glamorous guests at the swish After Party.
