Entries now OPEN - Flickerfest 2011

Get your entries in for the 2011 Festival, celebrating 20 years of the best short films from around the world. Flickerfest will screen for 10 days at Bondi Beach from the 7th - 16th January 2011 before heading off on a national tour.
For 2011, the Festival is pleased to announce two new competitions FlickerUp – for films from primary and secondary school students or filmmakers under 18 years, in Australia, which will encourage and support a whole new generation of Australian film making talent and GreenFlicks – celebrating Flickerfest’s passion and commitment to a green festival, for films with an environmental focus or theme. These new competitions will compliment the existing International, Australian and Documentary competitions.

Flickerfest recognised By BAFTA
Flickerfest is thrilled to further broaden its international profile through becoming Australia's only BAFTA-recognised short film festival. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Short Film Award is the most prestigious prize for short film talent from the UK and Flickerfest is honoured to be recognised for the purposes of eligibility for the Short Film Award in 2010/2011. This honour compliments our status as the only Academy® Accredited Short Film Festival in Australia and it's largest short film competition.
