Great Escape on Big Screen
July 19th 2008 05:26
This Sunday the Chauvel Cinema will be screening THE GREAT ESCAPE at 4pm upstairs at the Paddington Town Hall.
If you have never seen this classic on the big screen, you'd be a fool not to get out of the house or pub and head on down to catch Steve McQueen ( not the director of HUNGER fame) but the other great Steve and all his mates as they make their bid for freedom.
Check out our listing every Monday to see what is up and coming for each of the Sunday Classics
See you at the movies

Based on the remarkable true story of a British, American and Canadian WWII POW's who successfully escaped from German prison camp Stalag Luft III in Upper Silesia in March of 1944. Arguably the best WWII adventure film ever made.

Film & TV on DVD
James Cogburn as an Aussie is a nice token casting considering how many Australians escaped that day. Shame I have a previous engagement or i would have been there.
