Free Festival screenings in Trafalgar Square

Last night saw the Festival kick off in style with the UK premiere of Eastern Promises at the Odeon Leicester Square. But don’t regret if you missed it because there are plenty more treats in store over the next few days. Filmmakers and cast members will be in attendence to introduce their films and answer audience questions. Here’s a few ideas the organisers have suggested to wile away your autumn evening.
The Odeon West End is playing host to an array of actors and filmmakers attending the premiers of their films over the next two weeksHalle Berry Susanne Bier and Sam Mendes will be there, Tood Haynes and Ben Whishaw, Sean Penn introducing INTO THE WILD and Ang Lee will front up on stage before the screening of his much acclaimed film LUST, CAUTION, which took out the major award at this years Cannes Film Festival.
Also in attendance will be Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise, Andrew Garfield and Cristian Mungui introducing actress Annamaria Marinca star of FOUR MONTHS, THREE WEEKS AND TWO DAYS.
And this is only the tip of the iceburg. There’s a very good chance that you just might run into one of these amazing directors or actors when you attend the premiere screenings. Or maybe you might be suprised who you will see in attendance

This amazing event will screen more than 30 fascinating features with film highlights including Little Red Flowers, Night Scene and Dong. In addition, the festival hosts the One Minute Short Film Competition, judged by a panel of five of the most influential figures in film and media studies.
