Less Than One Month to go Until Entries Close for Mobile Screenfest
- Simply shoot, upload and stand to win over $12,000 in cash and prizes -
If you have shot an interesting video or picture lately, this could be your last chance to submit it in to Mobile Screenfest (www.mobilescreenfest.com.au) and go into the running to win over $12,000 in cash and prizes – one of the highest prize pools for any mobile phone film festival globally!
Any aspiring filmmaker, photographer or just someone wanting to share an interesting ‘shot-on-mobile’ moment has until 22nd August 2010 to get their entries in and be judged by a panel of celebrity judges that include:
- Queensland Reds rugby star Qaude Cooper
- Logie Award nominated film and TV star Victoria Thaine
- 2DAY FM presenter Geoff Fields
- Legendary ex-Wallabies rugby star John Eales
Entries can be submitted for free in nine categories ranging from ‘Best Music Video’ and ‘Best Phone Journalism’, to the coveted ‘People’s Choice Award’, which can be voted for online. Featuring a global first, the festival will also have a ‘Best Sport Video’ category.
Finalist entries will be screened on the 21st September 2010 at the Factory Theatre in Sydney. The key criteria are that entrants should be Australian residents aged 15 and over and the short films should range from 30 seconds to four minutes in duration.
Mobile Screenfest is proudly supported by 2SER, Event Cinemas, Screen Producers Association of Australia, FILMINK, Ascentiv Group, Blueprint Law, Metro Screen, StarNow and Egg Media Industries. Portion of the funds raised from the festival will go to the charity organisation ‘Youth Off The Streets’.
