He rose to fame as 'Kenny', the loveable guy who fixed the nation’s porta-loos and, more recently, hit box-office gold again with Paul Hogan in 'Charlie and Boots'. But for Shane Jacobson, his latest creative venture is unlike anything he’s ever attempted before.
In a world first, Shane stars inside a computer game (Blazing Angles World War II), as gung-ho WW2 pilot Mordy Koots. Running over 10 episodes (each three minutes in length), the so-called ‘MOGIE’ (Movie Over Game Integrated Entertainment) webisodes are the first time a live action character has ever acted within a computer game.
Popcorn Taxi is proud to present the brothers Jacobson – Shane and filmmaker Clayton – in a groundbreaking, world-first event. How did they do it? How long did it take? Is this just the beginning of a whole new way of seeing movies?
We’ll be premiering the entire series before anyone in Australia gets to see it, plus there’ll be an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how it was all done – from start to finish!
After our exclusive screening, you'll be able to quiz Shane and Clayton Jacobson on how – and why – they pursued such an innovative project, how aspiring filmmakers can do likewise, what precisely is involved, what it means for filmmakers and movie lovers, and much, much more!
