One of Australia’s most successful exports to Tinsletown hads signed on to shoot a pilot for Steven Spielbergs new TV sitcom THE UNITED STATES OF TARA. WhaleRider now tough teen.
Keisha Castle-Hughes who stars alongside Toni Collette in HEY HEY IT”S ESTHER BLUEBURGER (tagline - sometimes you need to stand out) is definitely a standout in the world of film. After making history as the youngest person to be nominated for a Best Actress Award for her debut performance in the New Zealand film WHALERIDER, Castle- Hughes continues to make headlines. The birth of her first child Felicity-Amore at the tender age of 17 (she turns 18 March 24) had the tabloids in a frenzy even after it was revealed the father was her long time boyfriend Bradley Hull whom she met around the same time of the release of WHALERIDE. Hey Hey it’s Esther Blueburger is a stand out coming of age story about a young girl trying to fit in to a posh private school and having to deal with all the trappings associated with growing up, something Castle Hughes has had to do under the harch media spotlight. But don’t think motherhood will slow her down. Keisha is already reunited with Niki Caro (Whalerider Director) on the set of THE VINTNER’S LUCK currently in production in France.
