Two special showings of the 2008 AIFF favorite Outsourced at the Varsity Theatre Friday, November 7 at 6:00p and 8:30p will continue the ashland independent film festival's monthly film series.
In what Variety calls a "sure-fire word-of-mouth crowd pleaser," Todd (Josh Hamilton) must travel to India to train his replacement for his outsourced call center. As he navigates the chaos of Bombay and cultural misunderstandings, his quirky Indian workers help him realize he too has a lot to learn - not only about India and America, but about himself. "Outsourced is a charming culture-clash romance...a smart look at the effect of cultural difference on work, friendship and love, and the global economy's impact on national and personal identity." --New York Times
Tickets are discounted 25% for AIFF members and available at the Varsity Theatre Box Office. The screenings continue a monthly series of Southern Oregon premieres and encores of film festival favorites showing on selected Fridays through November and, thanks to Coming Attractions Theatres, will benefit the AIFF.
