Now restored and remastered from the original 35mm print, the notorious tale of 'women going wild in the bush' paints a brutal picture of the depravity of convict settlement – and of a group of women who reject their barbaric male ‘leaders’.
The fact that the bulk of the cast stemmed from a feminist rock band named ‘Clitoris’ – and that it features film and TV star ‘Little Nell’ Campbell, who decamped to New York soon after – only helped to ensure the film its rightful place in history.
For one night only and to help celebrate the remastered DVD release through Beyond Home Entertainment, Popcorn Taxi is presenting this cult classic in all its earthy 35mm glory on the big screen – a film that’s barely been seen since its release over 30 years ago.
