Metro Screen has joined forces with Screen Australia the pre-eminent film authority for the sixth annual RAW NERVE film mentorship assisting emerging filmmakers as they attempt to egt their short films out into the public domain.
With applications now being accepted until October 10 Metro Screen is looking for filmmakers who want to try to hit that raw nerve to submit their ideas just like Simon Blyth did two years ago.
His short film ‘Father’s Day’ has already screened at 21 festivals aroundthe world including the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival, Sydney’s Flickerfest and Melbourne’s St Kilda Film Festival as well as winning the best short film at the Homebrewed Film Festival. And the positive reception of his work has led to another short feature being funded by the the New South Wales Film and Television Office funding his latest venture “Brother Boys”.
Successful applicants will get to work with the staff at MetroScreen, all held in high regard in the Industry as they finally get to realise their vision from initial concept through script editing, pre-production, production and postproduction and anyone who thinks they have the drive, ambition and commitment should submit their idea
