Russia comes to London
August 12th 2007 05:09
On the topic of Russian Film Festival, Academia Rossica, an Arts Foundation based in London that aims to promote cultural links between Russian and the west is set to screen their very first Russian Film Festival begining September 27 to October 3 at the Apollo Theatre London UK.
With the Australian Festival running from Septmebr 6-16, by October I will have consumed enough vodka to last me until next years festivals. And who knows, there might be another russian festival around the corner in Moscow or maybe even New York. A festival on the Hudson with Robin Williams as one of the judges perhaps.
So Londonites and other UK based peoples. Head for for a little Stoly and some great Russian films. Like Russian Resurrection in Australia, some of the best contemporary films will be on show.
Ticketsare avialable from
Apollo West End
19 Lower Regent Street, SW1Y 4LR
info / tickets: 0871 220 6000
I think next blog I might turn Japanese. Tokyo Film Festival isnt far away now.
