Samsung Electronics Australia, in conjunction with the Australian Film Institute, would like to announce a fantastic opportunity for young aspiring filmmakers and digital content creators to showcase their creativity.
The AFI is delighted to support Samsung Create, a short film competition in which the winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize plus the unique opportunity to have their short film broadcast as a Samsung television commercial during the 2009 AFI Awards.
There are also great Samsung prizes on offer for second and third places and national exposure for finalists during a ground-breaking technology tour of Australia.

But hurry! Entries are now open and close on Friday September 25, 2009.
Competition overview:
– Masters will be accepted in high definition digital and tape formats.
– Acceptable tape formats are HDCAM SR and HDCAM
– Acceptable digital formats are 8 and 10 bit uncompressed
quicktimes or uncompressed AVIs
– Entries open Friday 4 September and close Friday 25 September 2009
– Existing content / work can be submitted provided it meets the brief
– All entries will be judged by a professional panel appointed by the
Australian Film Institute and the winners will be announced at a
media launch on Wednesday 7th October 2009 in Sydney.
