Sandfly Film Festival showcases and promotes local, national and international short films and music videos with Bite! From tear-jerkers to rip-snorters, thrillers, dramas, animations and docos; Sandfly supports quality entertaining film from award winning works to cutting-edge newcomers.

The festival will screen at the historic Huskisson Picture Theatre, in picturesque Jervis Bay on the South Coast of NSW, on the 19th of June, during the SeeChange Winter Arts Festival.

For full details on the festival go to the website or check for updates on facebook.

The festivities will kick off at 4pm on June 19th with two hours of the very best Music Videos and Under 18's Short Films.

The main Open Short screening will commence at 7pm with 2 hours of the best quality film works going around.

An opportunity to meet some of the talented people behind these works will conclude both sessions with refreshments, bites and live music.

Awards will be given for Best Music Video, Best Under 18 Film and Best Open Short as voted by special guest judges and the audience.

Pick up tickets from the website www.sandflyfilmfestival.com or at the Huskisson Pictures www.huskipics.com.au

Sandfly is very pleased and honoured to confirm that Kirk Pengilly and Richard Morecroft will be special judges for the Festival.

Kirk Pengilly is principal backing vocalist, saxophonist and guitarist, for classic Australian band INXS. He is heavily involved in music production and composition so knows a few things about music videos!

Richard Morecroft is well know for his days behind the ABC News Desk (with a bat in his pocket). Richard is a Jervis Bay local and would like nothing more than to encourage a talented young filmmaker to move in the right direction.
