Script and Project Development. (LINK)

The Script and Project Development program aims to support the development of outstanding, original and creative Australian film and television projects suitable for financing and with a demonstrable economic benefit to South Australia.
Projects must be a feature film, a television drama series, or mini-series, or telemovie or broadcast length documentary. This SAFC program does not fund the development of reality television, ‘infotainment’, ‘infomercials’, lifestyle programs, serials/soaps, short films, games, game shows, sports, variety or similar television programs, or corporate or educational/training programming.
Eligibility
 Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia and be 18 years of age or older.
 Corporate entities cannot be applicants, but the SAFC will contract with such entities.
 Applicants must have an ABN number.
 Any party who is in default of any contractual obligations to the SAFC is not eligible for funding.
 The applicant must be the originator of the script or treatment, or the holder of the copyright, or have an option on all relevant rights in the project, and must be able to deal in the rights for the project to be able to make any application.
 Generally, the SAFC requires a producer/credentialed creative team to be attached to any project after it has funded a draft .
 The SAFC will not consider a treatment from an un-credited or inexperienced writer. A draft screenplay in industry standard format is required.
 Full-time students are not eligible to apply. Part-time and post graduate students will be assessed on a case by case basis.
 The SAFC does not fund the development of works designed to fulfil educational requirements or which form part of a course of study.
