SEX IS ON EVERYONE'S LIPS AT THE SYDNEY CANADIAN FILM FESTIVAL
November 26th 2008 16:21
Possible Worlds, Sydney's 3rd Canadian Film Festival, presents director
Martin Gero's Young People F***ing, the most talked about romantic comedy of
the year.
The film will have its Sydney premiere at Bobbi's Pole Studio on November 28
at 8:30pm.
This series of snappy vignettes attempts to get at the truth about modern
relationships and our attitudes towards sex. Five scenarios are under
consideration: The Friends, The Couple, The Exes, The First Date and The
Threesome. Each sexual encounter plays out in episodes rich in both insights
and hilarity: prelude, foreplay, sex, interlude, orgasm and afterglow.
Don't be fooled by the title, there's nothing (too) explicit in this clever
film. That's not to say there are no jaw-dropping moments of outrageous
humour, but this adult comedy is more remarkable for its astute writing and
spot on performances than the amount of skin on display. Smart, thoughtful
and shameless, you'll leave the cinema glowing with satisfaction.
Young People F***ing will screen at Bobbi's Pole Studio in Sydney. The
intimate screening will include a sassy 18 party featuring an open bar,
sets by DJ DCR and Something4Porno, short films from the Kino Sydney crew
and steamy live performances!
The film is part of a series of site-specific screenings taking place at the
Possible Worlds Festival. Global Metal will screen at Utopia Records
followed by performances from live metal bands while The Museum will screen
at the Australian Museum, presented by Canadian filmmaker Kenton Vaughan
