SPAA Fringe celebrates its 10th anniversary
June 6th 2009 07:55
Having attended the past two years this is one fantastic weekend. The talks and forums along with the DigiSPAA screenings mean you will definitely walk away with a lot more knowledge and definitely more contacts. Everyone in attendance will find someone with similar ideas to yourself, someone to help you get a little closer to the creation of your idea or concept.

roundtables, one-on-one sessions, panel discussions, film screenings and social networking events.
"SPAA Fringe is where filmmakers gain insight, knowledge and all important contacts. Foxtel, with its impressive purpose-built facilities, is the ideal location to fulfill these objectives. This
year, Fringe will be highly interactive and practical." Gaylee Butler, SPAA Fringe Director
In 2008, the conference showcased an aspirational line-up of speakers including, award-winning feature film Producer, Melanie Coombs (Mary and Max, Harvie Krumpet); LAMP Director Gary Hayes; celebrated Executive Producer Sue Maslin (Celebrity: Dominick Dunn, Japanese
Story); comedic TV Producer, Anthony Watt (Spicks & Specks, Full Frontal, Hamish & Andy, Comedy Inc.) as well as many other established and emerging filmmakers, TV execs and industry professionals.
SPAA Fringe brings together individuals who are inspired to make media content that is innovative, creative and interactive. People who are interested in similar projects or subjects can start a discussion thread on Fringe Facebook; while The Melting Pot allows registered delegates to be able to find creative partners by posting an advertisement to other registered delegates calling for expressions of interest for anything your heart desires.
