This years SPAA Fringe is almost here and the lineup is as impressive as ever. Once again the two day festival held at Sydneys Chauvel over the weekend of the 24th and 25th of October will play host to one on one workshpops with industry professionals, panel discussions and film screenings as well as the chance to network not only with industry professionals, but with emerging independent filmmakers and enthusiast as well.
In a recent press release SPAA FRINGE 08 welcomed Anthony Watt, TV Producer for comedy television shows including, Spicks&Specks and Full Frontal, Courtney Gibson, Executive Head of Content Creation ABC TV and Academy Award winner Melanie Coombs, Producer, Mary and Max (2008) and Harvie Krumpet (2003).
And with the Fringe searching out some of the best new talent emerging on our screens at the moment, you can bet that the duo of Robert Hibbert and Sean Condon who took home the prize for cable comedy gold in 2007 with their riotous I CANT BELIEVE IT’S NOT BETTER will be sure to have you laughing long after you leave the Fringe.
Others to come on board to lend a hand to educate and inspire include Benjamin Gilmour and Caroline Johnson whose remarkable piece SON OF A LION is screening on Australian cinema screens right now!
Of course you cant get away from the ever expanding internet universe and especially the galaxy known as FACEBOOK and anyone interested in starting a thread online can start a discussion today in anticipation of the upcoming event at www.facebook.com.
