SYDNEY FILM FESTIVAL CALLS FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR 2008

The festival is now calling for submissions for the 2008 event which will also select 12
feature-length films from around the world to compete for the $AUD60,000 jury prize
to reward “new directions in film”.
Next year will be the first year of the official competition, which will add an extra 12
red-carpet gala premiers to the festival program, June 4-22, 2008.
It’s expected the competition will attract more international guests to Sydney and more
business opportunities for local filmmakers.

YOUNG FILMMAKERS FUND UPDATE
The following YFF shorts have recently been accepted into or screened at festivals,
have been offered licensing agreements, or have received nominations and awards:
ADRIFT – producer David Curzon, writer/director Simon Portus. Homebrewed Film
