The 2009 Sydney Underground Film Festival will take place from Thursday 10 September to Sunday 13 September at The Factory Theatre, Marrickville.
Filmmakers everywhere are invited to submit their feature length, short or documentary films as the Sydney Underground Film Festival continues to seek out new and exciting underground film talent.
Providing a platform for the development and promotion of new and exciting works by filmmakers world-wide, the Sydney Underground Film Festival continues to nurture a growing alternative film culture in Sydney.
Here is something to note in your diary - the regular deadline will close Friday 29 May 2009. Plus don’t forget filmmakers will also be granted a further $5 ‘recession buster’ discount when a rejection letter from a film festival accompanies their entry.
About the festival
The Sydney Underground Film Festival is dedicated to nurturing an alternative film culture through the promotion of independent and experimental films. The festival seeks to support filmmakers who operate outside established film industry infrastructures, by providing a platform for exhibition, exposure and critical discussion. Founded in 2007, the festival runs on the dedication and enthusiasm of its staff, volunteers and interns.
