The Lamentable Suicide Bros on Itune.

Shorts International will release the hotly anticipated short movie The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers on September 21 featuring The Young Victoria star, Rupert Friend alongside the Oscar-nominated actress, Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean, Never Let Me Go). The pair has not appeared on screen together since Pride and Prejudice.
The movie, written by Friend and Tom Mison (who also stars), is a sinister fairytale depicting the lives of two brothers and their daily suicide attempts. Employing a mesmerising mix of live action and CGI, directors Arron and Corran Brownlee have created an enchanting world, recalling the dynamic worlds of The Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson.
The release follows the July success of The Summer House starring Robert Pattinson that debuted at Number One on iTunes in total movie sales for the USA, UK, Canada, Germany and Ireland.

With Keira Knightley as the fairy godmother overlooking the boys attempts to top themselves, the story is both amusing and disturbing at the same moment. The intenseness of the brothers as they attempt each day to commit suicide in a multitude of ways brings a uneasy brevity to the film which is ultimately reversed as the film reaches its ultimate climax. Meanwhile Keira's fairy seems the complete opposite, full of energy and life and at peace with the world, unable to convince the boys to give up on their quest for death.
