The Shoot Out is a film festival where filmmakers come together in one place to make a short film in 24 hours. In 24 hours great stories are told in great short films using the most affordable and readily available equipment. The Shoot out is a unique filmmaking event where professionals compete with aspiring filmmakers and the general public on a level playing field.
The Shoot Out takes place in five cities: Newcastle, Geelong (VIC), Toowoomba (QLD), Hamilton (New Zealand) and Boulder (Colorado, USA) . It is a great way to see new places, meet like-minded people and share filmmaking experiences in only 24 hours.
The Shoot Out is offering a $4000 cash component and a massive $14000 industry package for the Best Film. The packages includes: film stock, equipment hire, processing and post production time.
Entries can be submitted up until 8pm Friday 11th July 2008.
