Viva! 15th Spanish and Latin American Film Festival 2009 on Tour
June 20th 2009 06:05
If your trying to think of what to do this Sunday and you're hanging round London, why not head over to the Riverside in Hammersmith and get a slice of Spain. Or if you already have plans this weekend, why don't you see what's happening in July.
Sun 21 June 6pm
Flores de Luna (Night Flowers) (15)
Directed by Juan Vicente Cordoba
On the outskirts of Madrid in the 1950s illegal family homes were built through
the night, springing up by daybreak like "night flowers". This moving film explores
the barrio's development.
Sun 21 June 8.20pm
(Segundo Asalto) Second Round (18)
Directed by Daniel Cebrian
Angel is a young aspiring boxer with extremely poor career prospects. Vidal makes his living from crime and presses Angel to join him in participating in a series of bank robberies. Angel is torn in two directions.

Other Upcoming screening at Riverside
Thursday 2 July
Rock Roadie - Backstage and Confidential
Geordie Tappy Wright was there at the beginning when unknown guitarist Jimi Hendrix played to a handful of punters in a smoky American club. Tonight he will introduce his book, Rock Roadie, and host a Q & A after the screening.
Saturday 11 July
FAB Fest 4 - The Art of the Nasty
The films programmed today accompanying the book launch of The Art of the Nasty are unseen since the Act was passed twenty-five years ago.
Sundays 12, 19 and 26 July
Sunday Evening Ealing Comedies
The Ealing Comedies are regarded by many as representative of a golden period in UK cinema history. Come and enjoy them as they were intended to be seen - on the big screen!
Thursday 13 and Wednesday 19 August
The 23rd London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival on Tour
The 2009 edition celebrates the best in new queer cinema, and we are pleased to host the pick of the crop.
