Acclaimed filmmaker Joel Schumacher directs an ensemble cast of rising young stars in TWELVE, a drama set in the world of privileged teenagers on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and based on the controversial best-selling novel by Nick McDonell.
It’s summertime on the Upper East Side, and all the kids home are from boarding school with money to blow. If they’re looking for a party, or an escape, then they’re looking for White Mike (Chace Crawford). With business booming, Mike leads a double life, concealing the truth of his darker side from his childhood friend Molly (Emma Roberts), even as his supplier Lionel (Curtis Jackson) pulls him further into the world of the Manhattan drug trade. Mike’s two lives begin to collide when his cousin is brutally murdered on an East Harlem playground and a new drug, twelve, emerges as the recreational drug of choice.
On the Upper East Side, it’s not about what you need; it’s all about want.
